You guys haven't heard from me since Christmas because I was in the trenches of battle over finishing and defending my doctorate in art history.  As of last Friday, I have successfully orally defended a 572-page piece of art historical scholarship.  I am now a PhD, though the diploma is not officially bestowed until May, when FINAL final revisions are completed. I'm only teasing, though, nobody has to call me DR. Amber, lolol. :P Just Amber is fine. EDIT 12/14: My prayers and broken heart go out to the families of the children and teachers who died today in Newtown, Connecticut, because of open fire on the student body.  These people will not only lose any semblance of a happy holiday, but will have wounds that nothing can ever heal again.  Please pray for them, send up good wishes, and better yet, learn ways to take ACTION against this EVER recurring.
