Possibly the first American politician I have truly liked in a decade.

For an immensity of reasons, I deeply respect this man and hope that he wins the Democratic Primary.

I have left this in the bare bones stage because I believe the sketch represents his investment in the forming idea, his devotion to change, his populist compassion for anybody and everybody, and his candor/integrity.

If you really wish to engage in political debate here, I will understand that it is necessary territory going along with the portrayal of a controversial political figure. I have always loved political art, so feel free--but try to tie it back to the image itself. Don't just shoot your mouth off that "Obama sucks," or make long since debunked claims such as "he's a Muslim terrorist" or "he's a black racist." Come on, people. "If you wanna be somebody, if you wanna go somewhere, you'd better wake up and pay attention," as the Spiritual goes.

Although we don't agree politically, you are an absolutely amazing artist and I love seeing ALL of your work. I often read your journals and you seem to be a wonderful person with a good heart. :) My favourites of yours would probably be the Lau ones. :3

Regardless of the subject matter, this is an awesome sketch. Very interesting expression and posing. I like it. C:
