Loki Thor 2 Hair

I have noooo comment lol about the flurry of ardor and vitriol surrounding the fake Tweet that Tom Hiddleston would appear in Thor 2 set photographs today, except to ask people to possibly have a bit more respect that he's merely one human being with no control over the film's production protocol, who also has feelings and limitations of his own. And I will leave it at THAT, lol. The guy's not superman and the world will not come to an end if we have to wait a little longer to see him in costume. <3

But this was my prediction sketch of what Loki will look like next, which I drew super fast with a Col-Erase pencil last night around 3 am, so I felt like I might as well share it.

My belief: it’ll be slightly to significantly longer for the sake of an image that is

•feral/closer to nature and the untamed/LESS like civilized, harmonious, enlightened Asgard

•androgynous/liminal (by modern standards)

•more matured as it’s a rite of passage for both males and females in old Norse/Teutonic culture (same reason for Thor’s hair steadily growing).

•distanced from his pre-“Avengers” self, who had a quality of innocence accompanied by such short, cute, boyish hair.

I honestly believe it won’t be too dramatic a change since he’s apparently signed on for three more films. I don’t think we’ll be all the way to comics!Loki ponytail yet. But longer is still what I expect, even though I heard an interesting theory that cutting it off would be a kind of Sampson-archetype disarming/disowning act as part of his punishment.
